Yohan Terraza

Yohan Terraza was born with a creative streak. Drawing from a young age, he went on to study at art school before becoming a graphic designer. In 2007, Yohan branched out into photography and has never looked back.

Starting out as a wedding photographer specialising in Fine Art wedding photography, Yohan’s unique style quickly saw him rise to success and gain several awards for his work in this field. His area of expertise grew as he was asked to create exhibitions and pieces for many notable establishments including the Bordeaux National Opera Ballet.

However, he says he found his true calling with landscape photography. Heavily influenced by his art school education his shots evoke the work of Romantic painters like Friedrich and Turner and often look like oil paintings. With atmospheric music, horror movies and eerie and supernatural stories also inspiring his work many of his pieces have an otherworldly feel, leaving the viewer with a sense of mystery and unease.

Yohan has travelled the world for his photography, preferring the remote wilderness and rugged mountains to obtain his favourite atmospheric shots.

His thoughtful approach and keen eye have seen him exhibit his photography worldwide, with many of his shots used in notable publications including Le Figaro, The Express and The World of Photography. He now uses his expertise to guide other budding photographers.

Yohan’s Awards Include:

  • Honorable Mention, “Beauty of Nature” Category. Siena Awards (2022)
  • Landscapes Europe 2nd Prize. Fest’Images (2016)
  • Mont Blanc Photo Festival 1st Prize (2015)
