Hardware Encrypted USB Flash Drives
Built-In Encryption for Sensitive Data Security
Integral Hardware Encrypted USB Drives include a dedicated built-in encryption processor, which securely handles encryption and decryption functions. This ensures high performance while keeping your data protected from potential threats if the USB drive is lost, stolen, or accessed by the wrong person.
The cryptographic encryption key is securely stored in an inaccessible portion of the memory, preventing unauthorised access even if the drive is compromised. All our hardware-encrypted USB drives are certified by Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) – a globally recognised benchmark for data security. This means each one undergoes strict testing to meet requirements of government and enterprise-level protection.
Features and details vary according to your needs, including options for single and dual passwords and different levels of encryption certification (including FIPS-validated 140-2 level 3 high-grade security).
Integral USB drives’ blend of cutting-edge encryption and portable, easy-to-use format makes them the ideal choice for safeguarding confidential data – from business and government to education and healthcare environments. Our hardware storage solutions will give you peace of mind that, whatever happens to your device, your data will remain secure.
Our Hardware Encrypted USB Range
Key Features
- Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256-bit encryption – one of the highest-grade protection for sensitive data. Its large key space offers enhanced security compared to other versions, making brute-force hacking attempts virtually impossible. Used and trusted globally by governments, organisations and cyber-security experts.
- AES 256-bit encryption embedded directly into your device’s chip.
- Real-time data protection – all files are encrypted instantly as they are saved or transferred.
- No software installation needed – security is built-in and ready to go.
- Mandatory Encryption keys stored on device – your data is kept safe even if the USB is lost or stolen.
- Mandatory encryption – all data on the USB is secure as it is encrypted automatically in real time
- Secure password protection – only authorised users can unlock encrypted data, keeping your information safe.
- Dual password option (included in certain Hardware Encrypted USB devices) – administrator can set up optional master password, additional to user’s normal password. If user forgets their password, the encrypted USB can be accessed using the master password. Admin retains control of the drive.
- Auto-erase after 6 failed login attempts – if the incorrect password is entered 6 times, all data is wiped and the USB drive resets. An added layer of protection against brute force hacking.
- Plug-and-play simplicity – no installation, activation keys, or license fees. Just plug in and set up your secure log-in. Your data will be protected instantly with a zero footprint.
- Auto-Lock – for added protection the USB drive locks automatically when removed or when the screensaver is activated.
- Rugged design/tamper-proof casing – certain USBs are built with double or triple rugged layer. Some also include a tamper-proof casing for FIPS 140-2.
- USB Type-A or Type-C connection – choose a drive with a USB-A or USB-C connector to suit your device.
- Compatible with Windows and macOS options.
What is FIPS Certification?
![]() |
FIPS 197 | FIPS 197 is a high-level information security standard approved by the US Government that tests and checks the strength of the encryption algorithms within the device |
| 140-2 Level 1 |
FIPS 140-2 (Level 1) is a higher grade of security standard that tests the strength of the encryption algorithms, plus the physical components to ensure that they are all production grade and thus capable of frequency and intensive use | |
![]() |
140-2 Level 2 |
FIPS 140-2 (Level 2) tests everything in FIPS 140-2 (Level 1) plus the physical security to ensure that there are mechanisms to show evidence of tampering with the drive's components |
| 140-2 Level 3 |
FIPS 140-2 (Level 3), which is the level our Crypto 140-2 drives, test everything in FIPS 140-2 (Level 1 and 2), plus ensures that there are mechanisms to destroy in the event that there is tampering |
Customisation
Personalise your USB drives for better security and management
INTEGRAL Hardware Encrypted USB Drives can be customised with your company name or ID number, making them easy to recognise and manage within your network.
This enables your IT or network administrator to block unauthorised USB devices, ensuring only approved drives are used—positioning the Integral encrypted flash drive as the company’s official USB solution.
During production, we can embed a visible company tag into each USB. This tag can be seen on a computer and used by Endpoint security software to identify approved INTEGRAL USB Drives.
For added control, each USB Drive can also include a user-specific tag, helping you track who’s using which device.
These customisations must be requested when USB drives are ordered.
